Ok, fellow LJers... I'm experimenting with a new weight-loss blog:
The Stretch Jean Incident.
I've been wanting to branch out and away from LJ for a while, so I finally got around to it.
The new blog will go more into detail about the foods I eat, as well as my thoughts/feelings toward different fitness routines. It will follow my progress to goal and into maintenance.
I'm going to play around with keeping both this blog and the new blog up to date, but we'll see how long that lasts. I want the new blog to be less of a food list with points and more of why I'm making the choices I make, day to day.
I know it probably seems silly, but hopefully you'll be inclined to bookmark the site and keep reading from there. You have all been one of my main sources of support so far, so I can't thank you enough!

so the Italian meatball stew i made last night was AWESOME! oh man. so tasty. and super-filling. and it wasn't hard to make, so i'm definitely going to start experimenting more with making my own soups/stews. it wasn't something that needed to sit in a crock pot all day and it still had great flavor. better than any canned soup i've had, that's for sure. i wanna try some different recipes with shrimp, chicken and beans. i'm actually excited for lunch, just so i can inhale the leftovers, haha.
another slow day at work which means i will be leaving early to head to the gym. i'm going to do the treadmill routine again and maybe some weights. i love the treadmill routine not only because it helps my speed, but also helps my endurance. my outdoor runs can be kinda tough, so having better endurance has been helping lately.
i'm also excited to try out the new sweat-proof earphones i got yesterday. one of my pairs of iPod earbuds shorted out last week from sweat, so i figured it was time to look at some sporty ones that could resist the moisture.
that's about all for today. the past couple of weeks have been flying. Can't believe we're already into the 2nd half of August. And my martial arts class starts next week!

ate a bunch last night, but it was no worse than last weekend, which means i still have the majority of my allowance points left. and that's a good thing. went for a run this morning. it actually felt pretty good and i had some good music playing, so i ended up going longer and burning 200 more calories than i had planned. and after overindulging a bit last night, i felt a lot better, less guilty and not so bloated. i think the new running shoes i got this week helped too. (i actually got them even cheaper than what they're listed for now; they were temporarily on sale for $24.95, so i ordered them. super comfy and took practically no time to break in!) good morning so far.
